Photographers who wanted full creative control over their images consider buying a digital SLR camera. You can find a lot of these digital SLR cameras in the market today and if you’re a newcomer and have plan to get one for yourself, I’m sure you have a hard time choosing which one to get. My suggestion is to read reviews, feedback and look at the sample image result of each model. That way you have a clear view and understanding of the camera. Also asking friends who own SLR cameras is also a big help as they can tell you their own experience with it.
Other factors to consider: the price (do comparison if you can); lens compatibility; size and weight; image stabilization; Noise, metering, auto-focus; Video (if important to you). Bottom line here is carefully read the camera specifications to make sure it has the features you need, and just what I said read for reviews on the web to see what actual users of the camera have to say.
Right now we own the Canon EOS30D but we’re thinking of upgrading to Canon 7D. I haven’t seen the full feature yet except I know it has the HD video recording. The husband however, was able to read the reviews already and was impressed on the output and with that the more he wanted to get this new toy. I will not be surprised if one day he will sell the current digital SLR body to replace with the new one.
So here’s the canon 7D…

Key features:
* 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor
* 8 frames per second continuous shooting
* 1080p HD video recording with manual controls
* 3.0 inch Clear View II LCD screen with 920,000 dots
* 19-point AF system (all cross-type)
* 1.0x magnification and 100% coverage viewfinder
* Wireless flash control
* Environmental sealing
I’m hoping this camera will be on sale soon, hahaha….
On other note, I wanted to get a new compact camera. During the holiday season, there was a sale of compact digital cameras too. However I cannot convince the husband to get me the model I like, hehe Hence no new one yet at this time, but I’m looking forward to buy soon…
