Helloooooooo…..
Anybody here?!? ….
YAY! It’s been a long hiatus for this blog. Sorry for lack of updates. For a quick glimpse of the past, well I’m busy managing few sites of mine. Yes, I’m still on digi scrapping hobby and what added is that I’m practicing photography as the husband finally allowed me to make use of his DSLR, which *I think* he’ll give it to me later on.. hehe… I mean I would be the official owner, haha… For other happenings Well, it’s a long story and I don’t want to bore you this time… what’s important I’m going to revive this blog again, yohoo!
So let me just say Welcome back my friends! I hope to see you here again… Ciao!
I’ve been reading some CT call from designers last night at DST. I am itching to apply to one of the designers whose products I so love. But when I thought of the commitment, I’m not sure if can accommodate another one on my plate. Right now, I’m working with 2 designers and I guess that’s all what I can do.
BUT you know, as I went to sleep, I was having a second thought… and this morning I just found myself doing a draft for my application, HAHAHAH!
I just couldn’t resists!!! Oh my…. Give you more details on this…
Yesterday, Migs and I picked up these 2 items from the redemption center where we redeemed our credit card points…
This one for hubby- Phillips Shaver

Then this 3-in-1 compact mini blender is for me ![]()

I just love it. I can use this for my baking. We have a blender before but we left it back home. So this is really a wonderful addition in my kitchen…
And yes, I have a recipe to bake tomorrow. You wanna know it? hmmm… just wait and see….
here’s my yummy vanilla cupcakes…

I was able to bake more than a dozen cupcakes yesterday.
As we went to Victoria Peak, we brought the first 6 pcs that was cooked already. Then when we went home, I baked the remaining mixture and yield a dozen more.
Last easter sunday, I was able to bake Buttery Cupcakes, which recipe I got from pinoycook.net … there some more recipes there that I wanted to try, maybe next week.
Now you know, next to my digi scrapping, I love baking

That’s hubby’s birthday gift to me… but it’s not on my hand yet… YAY! He’s actually itching to buy it already but since the new OS will be coming soon, we just thought of waiting for its release.
That would really be perfect on my digiscrap hobby… I’m planning to design too hopefully and make my own kits and elements…
Let’s see if I can squeeze that on my time especially my little boy would start schooling on September. Oh well, that’s still my dream to design my own digi stuff…
Wow! Another year for me… and of course I’d like to share this happy day with all of you by giving a wonderful RAK (Random Act of Kindness)
… This is my first time to do this so I hope you join me… (little background: I got this RAK idea from Aggie, and sounds fun to play too… and it’s good to share kindness to everyone, isn’t it? it reminds me of the movie- Pay It Forward… Thanks Aggie!)
Ok, here it goes… I won’t ask for any gifts or presents from you… All you have to do is to leave me a simple greeting and your wishes for me on the comments portion of this post… In return, I’ll ask my 2 boys to draw names and to those who will be picked, I’ll have a little gift for you. You wanna know it??? A $10 gift card for digi-scrappers and if you’re not a scrapper, I’ll be the one who will make a layout or page for you. You just have to give me any photo you want me to scrap… sounds good friends! I know it’s not a big big prize to deal with but I just want to have fun on this day and I hope you’ll enjoy it… By the way, I’ll be picking up 4 names (2 digiscrapper and 2 not scrapper)… Would that be great? So let the fun starts now!…
And from the bottom of my heart… THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Last Monday, January 1 when we attended mass at St. Joseph church, the priests shared a wonderful lyric of a song entitled “Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep”. He mentioned this one ‘coz with the previous year, I’m sure almost everybody has their ups and downs and maybe some or all cannot sleep worrying about things that has done and will be done… and the priests said that if you can’t sleep, instead of worrying of anything why not count your blessings…
…
When I woke up this morning, I remember this and searched the lyrics of the song. Just wanted to share it … very nice!
When I’m worried and I can’t sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you’re worried and you can’t sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you’ll fall asleep counting your blessings
(The song was written by the most successful of all popular music writers, Irving Berlin, who surely had a lot of blessings to count, including living to age 101.)
After it’s being said, I reflected and whispered to myself, oh! I’m so blessed! Really I am… Year 2006 has been wonderful year to me and to my family. We experienced downfall but that’s the way we learn new things.
Another thing mentioned by the priests was about the New Year resolution. (I remember when I was in grade school, the teacher would always asked about our New Year resolution whenever we came back to school). There’s nothing wrong with it, right. But like the priests said, it’s the way we describe or lists our resolution. Others would say “this year gusto ko pumayat” – but if you think of it, that’s your goal and not your resolution.
So to achieve that goal your resolution would be, “I’ll have 1cup rice everyday… “; “ I’ll have my daily exercise” …… etc, etc….
Ok, so for me I did not list it yet but I have some resolutions in my mind. One of my goals for this year is to enrich knowledge and give more time to my little boy (we plan for a home school and took him to a formal school when he’s 4yo)… so goes my resolution to “limit my PC time”; and I kept telling myself: “scrappin’ should be a hobby Caryl not a full time work AND net surfing for free time only… LOL!
Ok, today might be a busy day for us. I received the notice to pick up the book I reserved in the library, so it’ll be a book day for my little boy and me.
And yes before I forget, I wanted to share this LO I did yesterday. After 2 and half months of not scrappin’, I tried to do one ONLY yesterday, hehe…
Little santa.

That’s for today. Thanks for reading and remember, “Count your Blessings”! Ciao!
